Drop everything you’re doing! Your favourite moment of the year has arrived! The IKEA catalog 2018 is here! Which is the ultimate moment for me to take a look at all the amazing new stuff I’m gonna wanna buy. My husband and I visit our local IKEA at least once a month, we absolutely love it. I think our home is turning into one big catalog itself! And you know what, I actually haven’t the slightest idea why we love it so much. I think the IKEA Style really attracts me and I really think they upped their game the last few years. The prices are great and the products are actually really good quality. No, they don’t pay me to say that, I’m just very IKEA crazy! Anyway, time to explore and be all giddy and drooling. Or is that just me?
I see a colour pattern here. Lots of greens! Which makes sense, I’ve found really great items for my jungle themed office! Remind me to write a blogpost about my office someday! I must admit, there are items on here that I already purchased, but I had to share them with you! But, omg guys, so much pretty things to choose from! I had such a hard time picking my favourites! I picked out 9 items from the catalog to show you. Let’s get into detail!
TJENA – BOX WITH LID, BLACK & BLUE
I already bought two of those! They are perfect for storing photo’s, cables, or anything else you just can’t find the right place for. The colours really go well with my office, although it’s not actually black and blue, like IKEA says on their website. The pictures show a black and green box, and that’s exactly what it looks like!
STRANDMONN – WING CHAIR, GILLHOV MULTICOLOR
Come on, who doesn’t need a comfortable, big chair in their office? And this one would go extremely well in mine! I would totally love to have this. I’d sit around, read books to inspire myself, learn a little, write a little. I can see it now…
STOCKHOLM 2017 – CABINET
This is the last item for my office, I swear. It’s just so made for it! I saw it and I instantly knew I had to have it! It would be great to store my camera’s, lenses and the rest of my equipment. Love it, love it, love it!
RÅSKOG – UTILITY CART
This is actually an item IKEA has been selling for years now. And I may have had my eyes on it, just as long. There used to be a lightblue coloured version, but appearently they don’t sell that one anymore. Missed my chance! I still like it though, without even knowing where to use it for. Maybe it would make a handy nightstand?
ÖRFJÄLL/SPORREN – SWIVEL CHAIR, VISSLE LIGHT GREEN
Oops, something else for my office has popped up! The last couple of months, I looked everywhere for a new desk chair and this might be it! The one I have now is grey and super boring and – let’s face it, kinda dirty. This one is green (ofcourse), white and goes well with the room!
NATTJASMIN – DUVET COVER AND PILLOWCASES, WHITE
I love sleeping in hotels. The beds and their duvet covers are always so soft and clean! This cover gives me exactly that feeling! So yeah, I need to have it!
MOSSLANDA – PICTURE LEDGE, WHITE
This is another item that I already purchased. Severel times! I am in love with these ledges. I’m using them in the nursery, to display all of my daughter’s books. But also on the wall next to our kitchen, to display a few cookbooks. I love to change the books every now and then and it makes a room look so playful!
LAGRAD – LANTERN FOR CANDLE INDOOR/OUTDOOR, BLACK
How pretty would this look in our backyard? Winter is coming up (I don’t care that it’s early september, in my world it’s coming up!) and I can already see us sitting by the fire, blanket around us and those lanterns lit up everywhere.
GODMORGON – BOX WITH LID, SET OF 5, CLEAR
Did you know that ‘godmorgon’ means good morning in Swedish? Well, for me, with these boxes every morning would be a good morning, because my bathroom would be neat and tidy! These boxes are a good way of cleaning some stuff up. I need them and I think everybody does!
So, I would love to know about your IKEA catalog favourites! What items are you excited to buy? And are you just as IKEA crazy as I am?
